WHO WE ARE

Zylo AI was founded by Andrew Tavares and Phillip Brey. Together, we bring more than 30 years of experience delivering technology across government, Defence and private industry.

We share a passion for AI and the practical difference it can make to how people work. We founded Zylo AI to help businesses and government organisations understand its potential and use it confidently, securely and responsibly. Our focus is on useful solutions that ease everyday workloads and give people more time for the work that needs their expertise.

Both founders bring hands-on technical experience, with complementary strengths in engineering, security, project delivery and governance. We work directly with you to design, build and integrate your solution, keeping the work planned, the risks understood and your team informed.

We build automation that reduces repetitive tasks, AI assistants that help people find and use information from your organisation's documents and policies, and integrations that connect your existing systems. Where your infrastructure needs upgrades or stronger security controls first, we can help with that too.

Every engagement starts with understanding your people, processes, systems and constraints. We recommend technology based on your needs, using established platforms or developing custom solutions where appropriate. Clear documentation, practical training and ongoing support help your team use and manage the solution confidently, so it continues to deliver value as your organisation evolves.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

The people you'll work with.

Two founders with technical backgrounds and complementary strengths in engineering, security and delivery. You'll work directly with both, from the first conversation through to handover.

CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Andrew Tavares

Technical Delivery, Business Development and Governance

Andrew brings a hands-on technical background and more than 14 years of experience delivering technology projects across Australian Government, law enforcement and justice environments. His experience spans servers, networks, virtualisation and Microsoft cloud services, giving him a practical understanding of how systems are designed, integrated and supported.

At Zylo AI, Andrew helps translate business needs into technical requirements, shape solutions and plan their implementation. He works alongside Phill to connect technical decisions with the client's operational needs, while also leading business development, project management and governance.

His delivery experience includes cloud migrations, infrastructure and network upgrades, communications systems, and information and workflow management platforms. He has managed several large, complex projects within a $1.2 billion technology program, with responsibility for procurement, vendor evaluation, negotiation and project assurance.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business Informatics and Practitioner-level certifications in PRINCE2 and AgilePM.

CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Phillip Brey

Engineering and Security

Phill designs and builds the systems behind Zylo AI's solutions. He leads architecture, development, integration and security. He brings more than 20 years of experience delivering secure technology across Defence, government and private industry.

His career spans military service, cloud infrastructure and cyber security engineering. He has managed classified networks, designed industrial security solutions and built platforms for threat intelligence and malware analysis. This work has given him a practical understanding of how to protect sensitive information and keep critical systems running reliably.

Phill combines this experience with hands-on work in AI, automation and systems integration. He takes solutions from initial design through to implementation, testing and ongoing support. He also brings experience leading technical teams and training others to operate and maintain the systems he builds.

Phill holds a Master of Cyber Security and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Artificial Intelligence. At Zylo AI, he turns client requirements into practical, secure systems that are built to be used and supported.
